Bipolar Depression Study

Icalcaprant as a Treatment for Bipolar I or II disorder

Michigan Clinical Research Institute is conducting a clinical research study for adults ages 18-65 with Bipolar Disorder who are currently experiencing a major depressive episode (MDE) and are currently taking lithium, valproate, or lamotrigine.

An individual may qualify for the study if they:

  • Are 18 to 65 years of age
  • Subjects with a diagnosis of bipolar I or II and currently experiencing an MDE 
  • Subject is currently on treatment with a single mood stabilizer (lithium, valproate, or lamotrigine)
  • Meet additional study criteria

Reimbursement for reasonable, out-of-pocket expenses such as travel and accommodations may be available to qualified individuals.
